How do you fill your summer time with summer fun? Here are just a few tips to try before summer passes you by.
Pick one field trip to take your children on a week. It doesn't have to be expensive. It can be as simple as a visit to a new park or to fish at a local pond.
Find a splash park to visit at least twice this summer. Don't forget sun screen and towels.
Pick at least one week-long activity to enroll your children in such as a church summer camp, Vacation Bible School, or Back Yard Bible Clubs. This is the week you can get a lot of house cleaning done while they are away or maybe just read the books you've been struggling to finish.
Pick at least one community or mission project to do together. Check out your churches mission projects or contact Habitat for Humanity. They are always looking for volunteers.
Plan at least one long hike or bike ride through the wilderness or a mountain range to get back in touch with nature.
Come up with one summer project that everyone in the family will work on together over the summer. Name the goals and the date that you won't to see it completed.
Summer is a great time to reground your children and remind them and yourself of what's really important. Most of all have fun and focus on the special time you have without the responsibility of school and homework. This is valuable time. Don't waste it!
